Product made with Irish oats recalled by FSAI

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a recall notice for a product made with Irish oats.

The notice relates to undeclared allergens in a mispacked batch of Flahavan's Chocolate & Hazelnut Irish Oaty Flapjacks.

The affected batch was mispacked with Cranberry & Orange inner wrappers.

The product contains nuts and soyabeans which are declared on the outer box but not declared on the individual inner packaging.

The FSAI has stated that this may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to, or intolerant of, nuts and soyabeans and therefore, these consumers should not eat the implicated batch.

FSAI

Earlier this month, the FSAI separately recalled specific batches of Dunnes Stores Baxter & Greene products.

The authority said at the time that the loose salad products and prepack products which contain sesame seeds are being recalled due to the presence of salmonella.

Retailers were requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and to display recall notices at point-of-sale.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.

The affected batches are listed here.
