The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has provided an update on the various scheme payments issued last week.

Over €22.9 million was issued last week in total.

Over €21.1 million was paid out under the Fuel Income Support Scheme, DAFM said.

It is expected that the total final payments under this scheme will be approximately €27 million.

DAFM said 29,718 applicants were paid under this scheme last week.

The scheme was designed to support applicants for the five-month period from March to July 2026.

The average payment for a contractor is approximately €4,000 in this batch of payments, with farmers receiving over €600.

Farm schemes

The department confirmed that under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), €13,074 was paid out.

Under the 2025 Eco Scheme, €144,484 was paid out last week.

Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC) schemes, €15,821 was paid to farmers last week.

€40,486 was paid out under the Organic Farming Scheme.

Payments under the 2025 Protein Aid Scheme last week amounted to €9,480.

TAMS

The latest data from DAFM shows there was nearly €1.6 million issued to farmers for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) last week.

TAMS, which is co-funded by the EU, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holdings.

Under TAMS 3, 51,816 approvals have been issued to date, with 22,613 payment applications submitted and 19,561 total payments made.

TAMS 3 total payments now amount to over €178 million.
