New Holland had its own-brand ploughs out in force at last month’s Innov-Agri show in France.

The PX and PXV reversible models were front and centre at the event. These mounted units are typically available as four, five and six-furrow variants, but can be configured as seven-furrow ‘on-land’ versions.

They are rated for use with tractors of up to 300hp (or 360hp in the case of ‘on-land’ versions).

Interestingly, these blue-liveried ploughs are the result of New Holland’s take-over of Kongskilde. Swedish-built Overum ploughs were part of the wider Kongskilde product dossier.

The acquisition of Kongskilde’s agriculture division was completed last year. Before the end of 2017, New Holland had already started the gradual integration of these implements into its own product offering.

The first of these were unveiled – in new liveries – at the Agritechnica show in Hanover, Germany (in November 2017).

The eventual emergence of these implements ended months of speculation in the agricultural machinery world, as to when Kongskilde’s machines would adopt the new corporate branding.

Ploughs, and other tillage implements from Kongskilde’s stable, are offered in New Holland’s blue colour scheme. In contrast, mowers are finished in New Holland’s yellow livery.

The DiscCutter F 320P front mower-conditioner and DiscCutter 320P rear mower-conditioner (with hydraulic suspension and stone release) were among the first new ‘Hay & Forage’ machines.

They join the existing ‘yellow’ family of harvesting machinery; New Holland already offers its own, existing big square balers, round balers and forage harvesters.
