Irish-based agri-business Aurivo has announced two new appointments to their executive team as part of what they call an ambitious growth strategy.

The globally-focused group, based throughout the north-west of the country, has appointed former commercial manager Sheila Maloney to the position of general manager of agri-business.

Meanwhile, the role of group head of human resources (HR) has gone to Marilyn Phillips, who previously worked as European HR director for Kellogg’s.

Aurivo CEO, Aaron Forde, welcomed the new executive team-members, saying: “I would like to congratulate both Sheila and Marilyn on their appointments to these positions.

Both bring an impressive wealth of expertise, which I am confident will deliver for Aurivo’s growth strategy and, in doing so, will further support local communities and our suppliers more effectively.

“It is very positive to see long-standing members of the team like Sheila grow with the business and it’s always great to add fresh talent to the mix; so I’d like to warmly welcome Marilyn to the team,” he added.

Sheila, originally from Sligo – one of Aurivo’s base counties – joined the group in 1998, and since then has worked in a variety of positions.

Most recently, she held the post of commercial manager and will now take up her new role starting November 5, following Stephen Blewitt’s promotion to general manager.

Meanwhile, Mayo native Marilyn is a new addition to the Aurivo team, bringing with her an extensive experience in HR after working in various businesses throughout Ireland and Europe.
