Circol ELT has announced it will hold a series of Farm Tyre Take Back Days nationwide, offering a low-cost and environmentally responsible way to clear old tyres from their yards.
The first official Farm Tyre Take Back Day will take place at Crossmore Tyre Recycling, Kildorrery, Co. Cork from November 20-22, 2025.
Under the initiative, farmers can bring up to 4t of farm-use tyres at a subsidised rate of €50/t, with any extra tonnage charged at €120/t and is part of Circol ELT’s ongoing commitment to support the farming community in managing their waste tyres in a safe and compliant manner.
To take part, farmers must register in advance and will need a herd number and an estimate of the amount they plan to bring.
“Our priority is to support the farming community with a fair and practical solution for sustainably managing waste tyres, while also ensuring the highest environmental standards,” Bill Collins, CEO of Circol ELT has said.
“This national programme is being rolled out to provide farmers with an accessible, affordable and effective way to dealing with tyres no longer fit for use.”
