Winds will be light to moderate in most parts of the country, becoming fresher along Northwestern coastal areas, according to the forecast.

Saturday

A strengthening southerly wind will bring very warm and humid weather over the country on Saturday.

Met Eireann has said it will be a mainly dry day with spells of sunshine, but the south and southwest coasts may become dull in the afternoon.

Temperatures will reach between 19 and 25 degrees. However, Saturday night will see a band of rain crossing the country from the west.

Outlook

The early days of next week will see a return to changeable weather, with rain developing during Monday.

This rain will clear to relatively cool and showery weather for both Tuesday and Wednesday, with good dry and sunny spells expected on both days.

Field conditions will remain good for the upcoming week, with all land trafficable at the moment. However drying conditions are likely to be no better than moderate at any stage during the week ahead.

Even though the the coming week is likely to be largely dry, rather breezy conditions from time to time will hamper effective spraying, according to Met Eireann.
