Since its launch this month, farmers in their thousands have been downloading the Agriland app and its popularity among the agricultural community has seen it hit Number 1 on the itunes free news app charts this week.

Seeing off competition from mainstream news providers such as RTE, The Guardian and The Journal.ie, our free farming news app has surpassed all our expectations.

According to Agriland Editor Margaret Donnelly the success of our app and the new site demonstrates the appetite among farmers and the wider agri community for a dedicated daily farming news service. “The growing success of the app underlines the farming communities’ willingness to embrace digital platforms and incorporate them into their daily lives.”

The Agriland news app, makes it easier for our readers to stay up to date with all the latest agricultural and farming news from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Europe and around the world. Readers can now have up-to-the-minute news, information and features on all that is happening in the agri world.

Managing Director Cormac Farrelly commented: “We are delighted that our hard work over the last 13 months since our launch is now starting to bear fruit as demonstrated at the National Ploughing Championships this week. The response to our app has been phenomenal and we look forward to cementing our position as the Number 1 digital agricultural news publication in Ireland. Looking forward to continued growth.”

The Agriland.ie app on phones or tablets, on both IOS and Android systems and all the staff at Agriland would like to thank our readers for their continued support.
