Valtra and McHale 'Demo Day' ready to go this Thursday

Agricultural machinery dealer Kellys of Kilkenny will host a ‘Demo Day’ this Thursday, July 20, just outside Kilkenny city.

Kellys will provide a silage making demonstration using Valtra tractors and an array of McHale machinery.

The demo line-up includes the new McHale mowers, a Fusion 3 Plus baler/wrapper, an F5600 Plus, a V660 belt baler and an Orbital high-speed wrapper.

A full range of N4 and T4 Valtra tractors will also be put through their paces on the day, while a JCB 413S loader will be on hand – for when the bales are made.

According to Clive Moylan of Kellys, 9ac of grass have been earmarked for the day, located just off the ring-road in Kilkenny city. The ‘Demo Day’ will take place 2km from Kellys’ base, with the route well signposted between the base and the field.

The event will open to visitors at 11:00am on Thursday, with the first demonstration kicking off between 11:30am and 12:00pm, according to Moylan. This will be followed by two further demonstrations: one between 1:30pm and 2:00pm and the last demo between 3:30pm and 4:00pm. It was stressed that these are estimated time-frames and are subject to change.

As well as the demonstrations of machinery in action – mowing, baling, wrapping and drawing in – there will be representatives from both McHale and Valtra available to give advice.
