There will be something for everyone at this year’s Tullamore Show, with over 700 trade stands booked out covering agriculture, garden, forestry and food.

The AIB National Livestock Show classes at this year’s show include the best in Ireland of dairy, pedigree and commercial cattle and sheep.

Some 22 gold medals will be awarded for the Breed Champions which has become the hallmark of excellence in livestock production.

This year’s show will have the concept of the meat village which focuses on the major meat processors, organisers say.

The meat village will incorporate an international flavour with a number of foreign breeders and buyers attending the show of which will help to showcase the very best of Ireland’s beef produce to meet market demands and focus on Irish Meat products and producers all over Ireland.

The Tullamore Show will also have a flower and horticultural show as well as a great vintage show.

For food lovers, Neven Maguire will also be doing cookery demonstrations at the show. Visitors will also be able to view, purchase and taste foods at some of the trade stands, organisers say.

Farm Safety

There will also be an emphasis on farm safety at this year’s Tullamore Show, with the Farm Relief Services (FRS), the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and FBD pavilions on safety attending this years show.

The show also includes horse and pony competitions with showing pony events and show jumping.

On over 250 acres of show grounds, there is free entertainment all day long, restaurants, and bars.

There is a  €168,000 prize fund and promises to be an outstanding success this year with trade stands booked out and entries up 10% breaking all previous records.

This year’s show is being held on August 9, 2015 on the Butterfield Estate, Bluebell, Tullamore. The showgrounds will be open from 6.45am for exhibitors and 8.30am for the general public.
