Ploughing 2026: What's on at the Agriland tent today?

The National Ploughing Championships continue today (Wednesday, September 16) in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

Agriland Media Group is once again the proud livestream media partner of the National Ploughing Association (NPA) and is streaming on all three days of the Ploughing from noon to 3:00p.m.

This is the 10th anniversary of Agriland's award-winning livestream coverage of Ploughing.

If you are planning on attending Ploughing 2026, come visit Agriland at Block 4, Row 10, Stand 184 for panel discussions, fun interviews, competitions and more.

Livestream

Wednesday's livestream is focusing on the future of livestock and the family farm and we'll continue to keep a close eye on the ploughing fields to spot emerging champions.

Panel discussions will kick off with the important topic of TB featuring speakers from the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers' Association (ICMSA) and the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS).

There will also be a special Beef Brief live podcast on the state of the sector, bringing together voices from the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association (ICSA), Tullow Mart and Dawn Meats.

We'll be keeping a close eye on Certified Irish Angus at the National Ploughing Championships today, as this year's finalist school groups are announced and officially presented with their Angus calves.

Hour two on the Agriland stage from 1:00pm to 2:00p.m turns to dairying, with an award-winning farmer for a Dairy Trail segment.

We will also bring you a behind-the-scenes look at what actually happens at the Ploughing, and a Tip Top Farmers slot on food and fitness with HSE dietician Geraldine Sexton and Laura Tully of Fit Farmers.

Next generation

Irish Natura and Hill Farmers' Association (INHFA) members and MEP Maria Walsh then join the livestream for a segment on the next generation of farmers.

The final hour will feature The Fodder Question, live with Joe Patton of Teagasc and Tirlán's Bryan Harte.

Agriland will also be speaking with a number of political guests today, including Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Niall Collins, and Kerry TD Michael Healy-Rae.

An interview with Bord Bia CEO Jim O'Toole will also feature.

Rolling out the green carpet

Along with the livestream, there is plenty more happening at the Agriland tent today.

Agriland has rolled out a green carpet for all our guests to the tent today.

Social media star from the 2024 National Ploughing Championships, Eoin Lynch will be getting people to strut their stuff on the green grass carpet and share their thoughts on Ploughing, farming and general rural life.

A first-of-its-kind school project in Ireland - a restored vintage Porsche tractor - is also on display.

Ballymahon's Mercy Secondary School has joined up with Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland to raffle off the fully-restored vintage tractor.

Farmers who visit the Agriland stand at this year’s Ploughing will also be in with a chance to win the use of a Landini Serie 7 for a year.

The lucky winner will have the free use of a Landini Serie 7 from mid-January to mid-December 2027 or for 750 recorded operating hours, whichever comes first.

All of that is thirsty work, so Urbó will be on hand offering a free drink made from Irish milk to those who download the Agriland app.

If you're calling to the tent today, don't miss out on the opportunity to buy some Agriland merchandise.
