Pics: Tractors at the ready for second FTMTA auction
A sizeable auction of tractors and farm machinery – organised by the Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) – will take place tomorrow (Saturday, February 24) at Punchestown Event Centre near Naas, Co. Kildare at 11:00am.
It is expected that a significant number of farmers, contractors and machinery enthusiasts will flock to the sale, in the hope of securing a bargain.

A varied selection of lots is due to go under the hammer; some will be bought by punters present in the event centre; others will likely be bought by online or phone bidders.
The sale will be conducted by Wilsons Auctions on behalf of the FTMTA.
The terms of tomorrow’s auction will be as follows:
All (hammer/sale) prices will be subject to a ‘buyer’s premium’:
- Assets sold up to €2,000 – 15% (plus VAT) commission;
- Assets sold for over €2,000 – 10% (plus VAT) commission.
All prices will be subject to VAT at 23%, unless otherwise stated.
All lots will be ‘sold as seen’.
AgriLand will be there, to sample the atmosphere, capture the required pictures and to jot down the key prices and specifications.
