Over 2,000 approvals have issued so far under tranche 12 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3).

A total of 5,839 applications were received for tranche 12.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon recently confirmed that ranking and selection will apply for this tranche.

The system of ranking and selection of applications will work on a "differentiated basis", with the farm safety and nutrient storage schemes within TAMS seeing the highest rates of selection.

The minister confirmed that 100% of eligible applications will be accepted under the Farm Safety Capital Investment Scheme, the only scheme where all eligible applications will be accepted.

Tranche 12

A total of 2,088 approvals have issued under tranche 12.

4,039 are RASS selected, while 1,951 applications are in progress.

The scheme with the highest number of applications was the Animal Welfare and Nutrient Storage Scheme (AWNSS) with 1,709.

1,405 have been RASS selected, with 523 approvals issued so far and 882 in progress.

The Farm Safety Capital Investment Scheme received the second highest number of applications in tranche 12, with 1,399.

832 approvals have issued so far and 489 in progress.

Tranches 10 and 11

4,452 applications were received to tranche 11, with 2,801 approvals issued so far and 370 in progress.

There were 7,905 applications made for tranche 10.

5,661 approvals have issued so far with 359 in progress.

TAMS payments

Data published by DAFM shows that €1.1 million was paid out under TAMS 3 last week.

55,186 approvals have been issued to date under TAMS 3 across the tranches, with 24,580 payment applications submitted.

Over €192 million has now been paid under the scheme with over 21,100 payments issued.
