A national conference bringing women and men from agriculture together for discussion, practical learning and networking, highlighting the experiences and opportunities of women in farming will take place next month.

'Growing Voices – Women in Farming', a national Teagasc event, will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Tullamore Court Hotel, Co. Offaly.The major event is being held as part of the International Year of the Woman Farmer.

Whether you’re farming full-time, working alongside family, starting your farming journey or planning for the future, Growing Voices aims to provide the opportunity to learn from leading voices in agriculture.

It will involve sharing experiences with like-minded women and gain practical insights to support the farm, the business and farmers' futures.

The conference will include a range of speakers, farmers and experts, including:

Sophie Bell - full-time farmer and content creator;
Dr. Erika Valerio - gender and agri-food expert, FAO;
Carina Roseingrave - International Year of the Woman Farmer Ambassador 2026;
Teleri Thomas - beef farmer;
Kate Curran and John Fitzgerald - farm family;
Vanessa Kiely O’Connor- dairy farmer;
Charlie Devaney - Teagasc advisor;
Ciara Stanley - Coppenagh House Farm;
Marion Roeleveld - Killeen Farmhouse Cheese.

The day will also include interactive sessions covering succession, supports and schemes, diversification, farm finance, tax and legal matters.

It will be hosted by MJ Cleary, presenter of Countrylife on Midlands Radio.
