The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued over €4.9 million this week in various farm scheme payments.

Payments under the 2026 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC) schemes totalled nearly €3.3 million this week.

€183 million has now been paid out to 86,690 farmers.

TAMS

The latest data published by the department shows that a further €1.1 million was paid out under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3).

TAMS 3, which includes 11 sub-schemes, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.

55,186 approvals have been issued to date under TAMS 3, with 24,580 payment applications submitted.

Over €192 million has now been paid under the scheme with over 21,100 payments issued.

BISS

Under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), over €199,000 was paid out this week.

Over 118,000 have now been paid €846 million.

DAFM said the BISS/CRISS figure above includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €38.3 million and the 2025 National Reserve of €3.1 million.

Under the 2025 Eco Scheme, over €53,000 issued to farmers this week.

€10,000 was paid to farmers this week in the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES).

Applicants to the Fuel Income Support Scheme were paid over €275,000 this week.
