Met Éireann said weather conditions this week will be mixed with some rain or showers at times, along with dry spells.
The national forecaster said temperatures this week are expected to range from the mid teens into the low twenties.
Today (Monday, June 29), will be mainly dry initially with bright spells and isolated showers. Cloud will build in the south-west bringing rain which will push northwards later with some heavy falls in places.
Highest temperatures of 16° to 20°C in moderate southerly winds.
Further outbreaks of rain tonight, again with some heavy falls. Overnight lows of 11° to 15° with moderate south to south-easterly winds.
The rain will clear eastwards tomorrow (Tuesday, June 30) to leave sunny spells and showers, some of which will be heavy, particularly in the north and east.
Mainly dry weather will follow in the west in the afternoon in moderate west to north-west winds. Highest afternoon temperatures of 16° to 21°.
Tuesday night will be mainly dry with clear spells, some showers are possible on northern coasts.
Light to moderate west to north-west breezes with lowest temperatures of 9° to 13°.
After a dry start, rain and drizzle will develop on Wednesday and spread eastwards during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 16° to 19° in a freshening southerly wind.
Rain will gradually clear south-eastwards on Wednesday night followed by clear spells. Overnight lows of 11° to 15° with blustery south-west winds veering moderate west to north-west.
Thursday will be a bright day with sunny spells. Some showers are possible, mainly in the north and northwest.
Highest daytime temperatures of 15° in the northwest to 21° in the southeast in moderate west to northwesterly winds.
Cloudy with some rain and drizzle in the north and northwest on Friday, but mainly dry elsewhere and some sunny spells. Temperatures will reach highs of 16° to 22°.
The current outlook suggests Saturday will be mainly cloudy and warm with the highest temperatures expected in the southeast.
Sunday is expected to be a sunnier day with higher temperatures in general.
Met Éireann said it is expected to be wetter than average for much of the northern half of the country over the coming week with 20mm to 40mm of rain forecast.
It will be drier than normal in many southern parts with 15mm or less, but parts of Kerry may see around 20mm.
Drying conditions will be limited as spells of rain or showers are expected, while spraying opportunities will also become more limited.
Met Éireann added that most soil types are currently trafficable with the exception of some poorly drained soils in the north-west.
Soil moisture deficits range from around 25-50mm in the east and south and generally between 0-15mm in the north-west.
