A new business deal will introduce a low-carbon mobile battery option for construction, utility and events sites to the Irish market.

Renewable energy company, Local Power, has partnered with Nottinghamshire-headquartered, Power Saving Solutions, to introduce its Hussh Pods mobile battery products to Ireland.

According to the UK company its mobile battery option can reduce generator diesel fuel consumption by over 50%, while also reducing noise pollution on site and facilitating large reductions in carbon emissions.

Power Saving Solutions, which has been in business since 2013, has built and deployed over 1,000 Hussh Pods across the UK.

Its customers include large-scale construction companies, utility providers, events, film and edge-of-grid power users.

Hussh Pods are available from single-phase units, right up to 200kVA units, which can be connected in parallel for larger sites.

Mobile battery products can power multi-cabin sites, tower cranes, lighting, as well as acting as a buffer when grid-tied.
