Video: Great footage of the barley harvest in Tipperary

Harvesting has finished up on many farms across the country and Tipperary is no exception.

Robbie Ingram from Templemore, Co. Tipperary has compiled a video of the a spring barley harvest spread over two farms.

One farm is in the Barnane/Drom area and the other is in The Ragg.

The video shows the barley before it is harvested, then the barley being cut with a John Deere combine. The straw is then baled using a Claas baler and left ready for collection.

The barley grain is then put into a trailer as the bales are loaded onto the back of a truck.

On the second farm, the barley is cut with a New Holland combine, the straw is baled and the grain loaded. Then the bales and grain is unloaded at each farm.

The music is Fields of Gold by Sean Keane which is the perfect soundtrack to the video.
