The Chinese are on the way: Equipment giant expands further into Europe
LiuGong – a major Chinese manufacturer – is to open new European regional headquarters in Warsaw (Poland).
The new facility is intended to support the growth of its business across the continent by being “centrally located”.
Howard Dale, chairman of LiuGong Europe and LiuGong Dressta Machinery, explained: “There is significant opportunity for growth in Europe.
“We are committed to continuously improving our products and services and growing our business in this region, so we have established the new headquarters to support these aspirations.”
In addition to the opening of the regional headquarters, the giant company also announced “increased manufacturing capabilities” in Stalowa Wola, Poland. This will boost Dressta’s dozer and related operations. Wheeled loaders and excavators will be manufactured there – for supply across Europe.
This serves as a very clear signal that LiuGong is committed to this market and in a strong position to offer our customers shorter lead-times and improved support with products that are designed for, and made in, Europe.
In related news, LiuGong recently sold its 350,000th wheeled loader. To celebrate the achievement, the company held a ceremony with over 300 people in attendance at Liuzhou, Guangxi, China.
Prominent attendees included representatives from the Chinese government and industry associates, founding members of the company, customers of its first-generation products and, of course, dealers.
LiuGong claims to have been the first Chinese manufacturer to produce a “modernized” wheeled loader. It also manufactures the biggest Chinese-built wheeled loader – the 8128H.
Today, the 856, 856H, 8128H and the ZLG50G are the headline models of LiuGong’s current line-up – which are now third and fourth-generation machines. Late last year, LiuGong launched its “revolutionary” vertical-lift wheel loader – the VL70A.
