The Irish Cattle Breeding Association (ICBF) is looking for two people, to join its team based in its office in Bandon. The closing date for applications is next week.

The ICBF says its HerdPlus Graduate Programme offers an excellent opportunity for you to work with great people and learn about many aspects of the agriculture industry in Ireland and abroad.

This is the first year of the programme, where two candidates will be offered the exciting opportunity to join the company for a twelve month placement commencing in February 2015.

ICBF through its breeding information service HerdPlus provides a range of breeding information reports and tools for the Irish Dairy and Beef farmer. We have made great progress over the last few years, with almost 18,000 Dairy and Beef farmers joined up to our breeding information service.

If successful, graduates will get good development opportunities and work with beef and dairy industry experts.

During the placement, successful applicants will have the opportunity to learn all about animal breeding, including genomics, our HerdPlus reports and services and how our work is helping to deliver more profit to the dairy and beef industry.

“You’ll have the opportunity for further training, development and work placements within the industry. Your work will deliver results that will make a real impact to our farmers and the wider industry. You will gain invaluable experience to give your career the best possible start,” the ICBF says.
