A woman has died in Co.Mayo after a car and a tractor collided in Brize, Claremorris at 9.00pm last night, October 13.
The woman, who was in her late 60s and was the driver of the car, was seriously injured in the accident and taken to Mayo University Hospital where she passed away this morning, October 14.
The driver of the tractor, a male in his 50s, was uninjured following the incident.
Gardaí at Castlebar are investigating the fatal road traffic collision and the road between Claremorris and Balla is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision investigators.
