The fine weather continued for much of the final day of the National Ploughing Championships at Screggan, Tullamore Co. Offaly today (Thursday, September 17).

Crowds continued to pour through the gates of the site from early morning, with just a blustery breeze to worry about as the visitors to the site made their way towards the exhibitors.

Agriland's award-winning live stream coverage continued with live panel discussions, interviews with competitors in the ploughing competition and chats with farmers and non-farmers alike.

There was even some more dancing on stage at the Agriland stage as Declan put some of the Agriland crew and audience members through their paces to some country tunes.

Over the course of the three days, Agriland interviewed a number of political guests including Commissioner for Agriculture Christophe Hansen, Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Tánaiste Simon Harris, Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon, and MEPs and TDs.

Agriland spoke to a wide range of industry experts and farm representatives, and the team was out and about meeting exhibitors and farmers who travelled from across the country to be in Screggan.

A total of 243,000 people attended the 2026 National Ploughing Championships over the three days this year according to the National Ploughing Association (NPA).

It was also revealed that the site for Ploughing 2027 will be Boherhill Farm, Rathangan, Co. Kildare from September 21-23, 2027.
