Teagasc recently held its last BETTER Farm Sheep Walk event of the year, in Glencar, Co. Sligo on the farm of Francis and Bernie Gonley.
Teagasc, the agriculture and food development authority, will host a BETTER farm sheep walk in Co. Kerry and Co. Sligo this week.
John Doyle operates a mixed farming system in Ballindaggin, Co. Wexford. The farm is home to sheep, beef and tillage enterprises.
The Nicholson family has been a participant in the Teagasc BETTER Farm Sheep Programme. They run over 1,000 ewes on a grass-based system.
