The Department of Agriculture has published preliminary crop area figures for 2020. These figures come from BPS applications.
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) released crop area figures from its 'Crops and Livestock Survey June Final Results' for 2019 on March 26.
This season saw the first increase in the area sown to cereals in a number of years – a positive for the tillage sector.
