Prices this week are at approximately €9.20/kg for spring lambs, up 50c/kg from this time last year when spring lamb prices were at approximately €8.70/kg.
Despite this, prices have been cut over the past two weeks when spring lamb prices were at €9.90/kg.
Generally speaking, early July traditionally sees mid-season lambing flocks drafting higher numbers of lambs and spring lamb supplies tend to become more widely available.
