The Irish Charolais Cattle Society is looking to hire a General Secretary/Manager to lead the organisation.

The successful applicant will continue to expand the membership and market share for Charolais stock while continuing to improve the breed profile.

He or she will be responsible, in conjunction with the ICCS council, for the management of the society, its employees and providing an excellent service to pedigree breeders.

Goldcrop Ltd, specialists in the wholesale distribution of seeds, agro-chemicals and agri-hardware products, is looking to hire a Sales Specialist.

The company is seeking to recruit a Sales Specialist to manage its diverse customer base in the west/ north-west of Ireland.

This role will involve the procurement of sales orders from an existing customer base of Co-op’s and Agri-Merchants and the management of customer accounts.

Prospective applicants should hold a third level qualification, in agriculture (though this is not an exclusion) and be willing to work hard to succeed in a rapidly changing marketplace.

Experienced Pig Stock Person

Tierney Farms is recruiting an experienced pig stock person is required for a 750 sow, disease-free breeding unit in Co. Waterford.

The successful applicant will mainly work in the farrowing houses, but will also complete other work in the pig unit.

Chief Executive

The Animal and Plant Health Association (APHA), the representative body for manufacturers and sole distributors of animal health (veterinary medicines) and plant protection products in Ireland, is looking to hire a Chief Executive.

The current CEO will be retiring at year end and APHA is inviting applications for the position of CEO, to represent the interests of these industries in Ireland and EU.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead engagement with policy makers in Ireland and the EU as well as leaders in the agri industry input sector and the wider agri food industry, to ensure the introduction of balanced legislation which protects the product user, the environment and the consumer, while also allowing the industry to deliver its products to the market place.

Dairy Farm Internship

A farm near Listowel in Co. Kerry is looking to take on a person on a Dairy Farm Internship.

The farm set up includes 380 dairy cows which are milked on a rotary parlour, 300 beef cattle for finishing and 60ac of winter wheat.

Duties will include milking cows, feeding calves, bedding cattle, administration, machine work and calving cows.

Accommodation and food are provided on farm and use of van can be organised.
