Met Éireann has said that the weather will continue to be cloudy and mostly dry this week, with temperatures well above average for the time of year.
The national meteorological service said that it will be drier than normal until tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, November 5).
Some rain is possible later on Tuesday and into Wednesday, however rainfall totals over the next week are forecast to be generally below 10mm nationwide.
It will feel exceptionally mild with mean air temperatures expected to be 4° to 5° above the November average.
Mean soil temperatures over the past seven days were between 2° and 3° above average.
The cloudy conditions will keep night-time temperatures high and frost-free this week.

According to the weather forecast, today (Monday, November 4) will be mainly dry and cloudy across the country with some brighter spells and patches of drizzle and mist possible.
Highest afternoon temperatures of 11°to 14° in light to moderate southeasterly winds.
Tonight will stay mostly dry with some drizzle and mist, mainly in the south. Overnight lows of 5° to 11°, feeling coldest in Ulster, east to southeast winds will be light to moderate.
Tuesday will be cloudy and mainly dry, but there will be some drizzle in the south and east. Showers will arrive in the west of the country later in the day.
The southerly winds will be light to moderate and highest temperatures will range from 12° to 16°.
The rain will clear to the northeast on Tuesday night to leave mainly dry and cloudy weather with some fog and mist patches forming. Lowest temperatures of 10° to 13° in light to moderate southerly breezes.

Mainly dry and cloudy on Wednesday with some mist and fog patches mainly in Munster and parts of Leinster. Highest temperatures of 14° to 17° degrees with a moderate southerly wind.
It will remain mostly dry on Wednesday night with patches of mist and fog. Lowest temperatures of 10° to 13° in a light to moderate southerly breezes.
Another mostly dry and cloudy day for Thursday, some patchy drizzle especially in Munster. Highest temperatures of 13° to 15° in moderate, occasionally fresh southerly breezes.
Cloudy on Thursday night with some light rain pushing in from the south and affecting the western half of the country, staying dry further east. Lowest temperatures of 10° to 13° in a light southeasterly breeze.
The rain will clear on Friday with some brighter spells developing on the western seaboard, dull elsewhere with patches of light rain and drizzle.
Met Éireann has said that drying conditions will be moderate or poor over the coming days as there will be little wind or sunshine. Better drying is anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday.
There will be opportunities for spraying in the coming days with light winds and mostly dry conditions until Tuesday morning.
Well drained and moderately drained soils are currently trafficable in most parts of the country, but poorly drained soils continue to be saturated or waterlogged.
There will be minimal rainfall over the coming days but also very limited drying so little change in soil conditions is forecast.
