Kerry Group has become the latest processor to set its milk price for supplies in the month of December.

The group announced a base price of 31.56c/L for last month’s milk supplies. This figure includes VAT.

Kerry Group said in a brief statement this morning (Friday, January 15) that “based on average December solids, the milk return inclusive of VAT and bonuses is 39.343c/L”.

Kerry is the third of the major processors to reveal its price for December milk.

Glanbia revealed its price on Tuesday of this week, deciding to pay its member milk suppliers 33.5c/L including VAT for December creamery milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.

The Glanbia price includes a Late Supply Bonus (LSB) of 2c/L including VAT that will be paid on all high-quality creamery milk supplied in December, while farmer members will receive a 0.42c/L (including VAT) payment from Glanbia Co-op on all milk supplied this month as their ‘Share of GI Profit’.

Then on Wednesday, Lakeland issued its price for December, deciding to hold its price.

In the Republic of Ireland, a base price of 32.28c/L including VAT and lactose bonus will be paid for milk supplied to Lakeland in December. This is the same base price as November.

The normal out-of-season bonus applies for December.

In Northern Ireland, Lakeland will pay a base price of 26.55p/L for December milk. Again, this is the same base price as November.
