It will be warm, humid and showery this week with temperatures on Wednesday reaching 25 degrees in places, Met Eireann says.
Today (Monday) will be dry in most places with rain and drizzle developing in the southwest and west during the day, Met Eireann says.
There will be maximum temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees Celsius in moderate to fresh south to southeast winds, it says.
Tonight (Monday) will be very mild and humid with patches of mist, drizzle and fog, but most areas will be dry, it says.
There will be minimum temperatures tonight (Monday) of 12 to 15 degrees Celsius, in a moderate south to southeast breeze, Met Eireann says.
West and southwest coasts will be cloudier, with a little patchy light rain or drizzle possible and with temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, it says.
Met Eireann says that Tuesday night will be another mild humid night and many areas will by dry but rain and drizzle will persist along some Atlantic coasts and there is a risk of a few scattered, possibly thundery, showers elsewhere.
Looking to Wednesday, it says it will be very warm, with some hazy sunshine, mainly in the east, but there is a risk of some thundery showers developing.
It will be mostly cloudy in the southwest, west and northwest, with rain and drizzle, though it may brighten up in coastal areas later, it says.
Wednesday night will be another mild and humid night in the eastern half of the country, with a risk of heavy, thundery rain, but it will be clearer and fresher further west, it says.
Thursday will be a cooler and fresher day, with sunny spells developing however there will be some scattered showers also, some heavy, with a risk of thunder, it says.
Temperatures on Thursday will be between 17 to 21 degrees in a moderate southwesterly winds, it says.
Looking to Friday, Met Eireann says that early indications suggest that it will be quite warm with some sunshine and temperatures up to the low twenties.
Cloudier conditions, with rain and drizzle will extend gradually from the west and south later, with mostly moderate southeasterly winds, it says.
Looking to the weekend, Met Eireann says that the changeable weather looks set to continue.
