Drone technology and services company Zena is looking to take on an agricultural lead generator to support its team by identifying new business opportunities in the agri-sector.

Duties will involve conducting market research to identify prospective clients, using online tools, databases, and social platforms.

The role will also involve generating new business leads through outbound strategies, including cold outreach (through email and phone), social selling and networking.

Hopefuls for the job should have a background in farming; have a strong understanding of agricultural procedures; and have the ability to analyse research and data.

Machinery and parts sales executive

Sheridan Machinery in Co. Cavan is looking to hire a machinery parts and sales executive.

The successful candidate will be expected to be the driving force behind sales on the shop floor and parts counter, advising customers; selling machinery and spare parts; and keeping the store running efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include selling machinery, spare parts and accessories to farmers and contractors, in person and by phone; advising customers on the right parts and products for their machinery; and ordering parts online.

Candidates should have proven experience in agricultural machinery or parts sales; strong knowledge of farm machinery; and should be comfortable using online and stock systems.

Herdsperson

A large beef and tillage farm in Co. Louth is looking for a herdsperson.

Candidates should have plenty of experience in handling beef cattle; an excellent understanding of animal health and welfare; and should be reliable, flexible and hardworking.

Candidates should also have their own transport.

Maintenance electrician

Fertiliser supplier Grassland Agro is looking to take on a maintenance electrician for its Slane site in Co. Meath.

The role will entail full responsibility for the corrective and preventative maintenance of on-site systems, while working as part of the overall team to support plant production.

Key responsibilities will include providing maintenance support to production operations; maintaining production equipment through preventative and reactive organisation; and performing routine fabrication assignments as directed.

Candidates should have relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; a recognised national qualification; and should be a team players who can also work on their own initiative.

Association support officer

The Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) is looking to take on an association support officer.

The role will be based in Naas, Co. Kildare, and will involve planning, organising and delivering FTMTA exhibitions, conferences, training programmes and member services.

The role will also involve co-ordinating event logistics including registrations, venues, accommodation and communications.

It would be advantageous for candidates to have a qualification in agriculture, agricultural engineering, business, marketing, communications or a related discipline.

Sales advisor
