Glanbia Co-op has revealed that its upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) is due to take place through a phone conference facility in line with government advice to limit large gatherings as a safeguard against Covid-19.

Co-op members will have received notice in the post of the AGM , which is due to take place on Tuesday, October 6, from 11:00am.

The holding of the AGM by managed audio conference facility was permitted following the introduction of legislation.

Co-op members seeking to attend and participate were asked to complete the form sent by post – ‘confirmation of intention to attend the 2020 AGM of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited’ – and return the form in a prepaid envelope.

Members were required to have returned the form to the co-op’s Dungarvan address as of yesterday evening (Monday, September 28).

The cooperative added that there was also further information contained in the documents sent by post.

Further details regarding access to the managed audio conference facility and the conduct of the AGM are set out in the enclosed “2020 Annual General Meeting Process”. Both documents should be considered part of the notice of the AGM.

Anyone with queries or who requires assistance with respect to attending or participating in the AGM can contact the Society Shares Office on: 058-44444.
