Fendt will be showcasing two 2027 Tractor of the Year (TOTY) finalists as well as its celebratory limited edition 900 series next month at EIMA, in Bologna, Italy.

The biennial machinery show runs even-numbered years - the opposite of Agritechnica, which takes place every second odd-numbered year.

Both shows are home to their respective annual TOTY awards.

The German manufacturer will reportedly be presenting its "full-line portfolio, from compact and speciality tractors to combines and hay tools" at this 47th edition of the Italian agri-machinery showcase.

Fendt TOTY models

Fendt will be giving the 1100 Vario Multi-Track (MT) Gen2 range its first European run-out at EIMA.

Launched globally in September at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, the tracked giant will now be presented to agricultural operators in Europe.

The Fendt 1100 Vario MT Gen2 line consists of four models with a power range of 521-680hp.

The top model, the 1167 Vario MT Gen2 utilises all 680hp with 3,100Nm of torque from a 16.2L MAN 6-cylinder engine.

The 1167 Vario MT Gen2 is one of two machines that Fendt has entered into the TOTY competition, with the other being the 314 Vario Gen5.

The fifth generation 300 series comes with AGCO's Power 44HD four-cylinder engine, which delivers a maximum output of up to 152hp, with DynamicPerformance providing an additional 10hp when required.

The tracked tractor is entered into the HighPower category, while the 314 will battle it out with five other tractors for the Utility award.

Both tractors face stiff competition from brands such as Steyr, Landini, Massey Ferguson and Claas.

However, Fendt has somewhat of a winning pedigree when it comes to the TOTY awards.

Winning 10 categories in the last 10 years and 18 in the competition's history.

900 series

Also on display at Fendt's stand at EIMA will be the first public exhibit of the celebratory limited edition Fendt 900 series.

In 2026, the 900 reached two milestones, hitting 50,000 units produced in the line's lifetime in July, 30 years since the first generation rolled off the production line in 1996.

The 900 series is significant for Fendt, as it was their first tractor to utilise the iconic Vario transmission, which has become a defining factor of the brand's identity since then.

This special edition (which is limited to 300 units) revives the 2005 Fendt Design Line look with embroidered/engraved anniversary logos and a choice of five paint finishes alternative to traditional Fendt colouring.

Fuel consumption

Fendt has confirmed that fuel consumption will be a central topic discussed at its booth.

Fendt will be showcasing the results from two of its top tractors performances in the DLG PowerMix test.

In 2025, the Fendt 724 Vario Gen7.1 consumed 242g/kWh (+24.2g/kWh AdBlue).

This tractor achieved this while utilising the AGCO Power CORE 75 six-cylinder engine, which was recently seen in the Massey Ferguson 7S Mark 2 and sixth generation Valtra T Series tractors.

Earlier this year, the Fendt 832 Vario achieved 235g/kWh (+29g/kWh AdBlue) in the same test, setting a new record for tractors up to 350ps tested in the DLG PowerMix.

With the rising cost of fuel seen in 2026, fuel efficiency and consumption will be high on the list of priorities for farmers looking at buying a new tractor.

EIMA runs from 10-14 November, at the BolognaFiere exhibition centre in Bologna, Italy.
