The Irish Holstein Friesian Association (IHFA) has announced that FBD Insurance will be the new title sponsor of the National Dairy Show.
The National Dairy Show is one of the major dairy cattle competitions in Ireland, with some of the nation's most elite dairy stock going hoof to hoof in the ring.
The event, which is now in its 44th year, will now be known as the FBD National Dairy Show.
It is set to take place in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co. Cork on October 9 and 10 this year.
The IHFA has said the deal is "one of the most significant partnerships in the history of the show", stating that it will provide a strong platform for the continued growth and development.
The association went on to say that the partnership reinforces FBD Insurance's "longstanding commitment" to Irish agriculture and the dairy farming community.
The newly appointed show director and commercial manager with Munster Bovine, Tom Baker, said: "We are delighted to welcome FBD Insurance as Title Sponsor of the National Dairy Show.
"FBD is one of the most recognisable and trusted brands in Irish agriculture and has a proud history of supporting farming communities throughout the country.
"Their commitment to Irish agriculture aligns strongly with the values and ambitions of the National Dairy Show.
"This partnership will help strengthen the event and ensure that we continue to deliver an outstanding experience for exhibitors, breeders and visitors," Baker added.
He noted how the National Dairy Show has become a key date in the Irish agricultural calendar, as thousands flock to the arena over the course of the two days.
Baker said: "We look forward to working closely with FBD Insurance to further develop the event in the years ahead."
A spokesperson for FBD Insurance said the company is "proud" to become title sponsor of the National Dairy Show.
They said: "Irish dairy farming continues to play a vital role in the rural economy and in communities throughout the country.
"The National Dairy Show provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate innovation, excellence and the achievements of dairy farmers while bringing the industry together in one location.
"We look forward to working with the National Dairy Show team to help build on the show's success and support its continued growth."
