Association support officer

The Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) is looking to take on an association support officer.

The role will be based in Naas, Co. Kildare, and will involve planning, organising and delivering FTMTA exhibitions, conferences, training programmes and member services.

The role will also involve co-ordinating event logistics including registrations, venues, accommodation and communications.

It would be advantageous for candidates to have a qualification in agriculture, agricultural engineering, business, marketing, communications or a related discipline.

Sales advisor

Agritech is expanding its sales team and his looking for a sales advisor to join.

The role will involve building and managing relationships with farmers in a given area; developing new business opportunities while supporting existing customers; and promoting Agritech’s nutrition and forage solutions.

Candidates should be passionate about agriculture and the farming industry; be strong communicators with good people skills; and be self-motivated, ambitious and organised.

Store manager and agri sales roles

Related businesses Deeside Country Store in Dunleer, Co. Louth and Royal Town & Country Store in Trim, Co. Meath, is looking to fill a number of positions, including store manager for the Dunleer location.

The store manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and profitability of the Deeside store.

This role involves providing excellent customer experiences, strong team performance, effective stock management and delivery of sales targets.

Candidates should have a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results; and experience serving customers.

Meanwhile, Royal Town & Country Store in Trim is looking to take on a counter sales person who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, offering product advice, processing sales and supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.

The candidate will be required to serve customers professionally and efficiently at the sales counter; and providing advice on agricultural products, animal feed and general farm supplies.

Candidates should be friendly, approachable and passionate about agriculture and rural affairs.

Royal Town & Country Store is also seeking an agri sales representative.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers while actively identifying new business opportunities across the agricultural sector.

The role involves promoting a wide range of products including animal feed, fertiliser, seed, crop inputs, farm supplies and agricultural services.

An agricultural background with a good understanding of farming practices; and proven sales experience or strong customer-facing experience, are essential requirements.

Spare parts manager

Pottinger is looking for a spare parts manager to work in its Ireland location in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

The spare parts manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and distribution of spare parts to support its operations.

The role will involve reporting directly to the general manager of the Irish subsidiary, and responsibility for the growth and development of the Pottinger spare parts business across the Irish market place.

Candidates should have a strong commercial and technical background with at least five years’ experience in a similar role within the agricultural industry.

Dairy farm manager

A dairy farm in Co. Meath is looking for a farm manager for a 250-cow spring calving herd.

The role is described as an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, well-organised individual who takes pride in their work.

Roles at Haystack

Agriland Media's online marketplace Haystack is looking to take on a machinery account executive to develop new commercial partnerships and help establish Haystack as the leading destination for agricultural trading in Ireland.

The role will involve responsibility for identifying and onboarding new machinery dealers, manufacturers, contractors, agricultural businesses and commercial partners while building strong relationships with existing customers.

Haystack is also looking to take on a livestock account executive.

The role will involve similar work to the machinery role, but will be based on dealing with livestock sellers, marts, agents and pedigree breeders.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of the livestock, farming and wider agricultural sector.

Account executive

The role involves growing recruitment listings, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering meaningful revenue results.

The account executive will act as the primary point of contact for recruitment clients, building and managing relationships throughout their organisations.

Herdsperson

A herdsperson is needed for a large beef and tillage farm in Co. Louth.

The ideal candidate should have plenty of experience in handling beef cattle, and excellent understanding of animal health and welfare.

Maintenance electrician

Fertiliser supplier Grassland Agro is seeking a maintenance electrician.

The chosen candidate will take on full responsibility for the corrective and preventative maintenance, including diagnosis and development of on-site systems, while working as part of the overall team to support plant production and safety.

This will involve performing routine fabrication assignments as directed, and performing testing to ensure machinery is operating correctly and safely.

The candidate should have relevant experience in a manufacturing environment and a recognised national qualification, among other requirements.
