The latest payments data from DAFM shows 49,044 approvals have been issued up to Friday (June 19), with 21,410 payment applications submitted and 18,636 total payments made.

Some €170.3 million has now been paid out to farmers under TAMS 3.

The department said that 5,301 applications have been selected under the ranking and selection process for tranche 10.

Due to the level of demand from farmers for TAMS 3, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon previously announced that ranking and selection would be applied because of "overall budgetary constraints".
