Who are the CellCheck Milking for Quality Awards 2025 champions?

FBD Insurance and Animal Health Ireland (AHI) would like to congratulate the 16 CellCheck Champions who were celebrated at the recent CellCheck Milking For Quality Awards.

The awards were held at the Killashee Hotel in Naas on November 27.

Now in its 12th year, the awards celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements of 500 Irish dairy farmers who have demonstrated excellence in udder health, achieving the lowest somatic cell counts nationally in their dairy operations.

CellCheck programme

CellCheck is the national mastitis control programme.

AHI works with dairy farmers and their service providers, to increase the awareness and capacity to manage and prevent mastitis in Irish herds.

This delivers a healthier and more productive herd, which contributes to increased efficiency and profitability.

Animal Health Ireland

AHI provides education and training to farmers and service providers on animal health management through the development and implementation of livestock disease control programmes.

The work of AHI is critical in maintaining healthy livestock, which are more productive, contributing to the profitability, sustainability and competitiveness of the agriculture sector.
