Viral sensation, Adam Kenneally has taken social media by storm over the past week, as his hilarious, quick-witted nature shone during an interview with Agriland.
Adam’s interview during the 2024 National Ploughing Championships has received a great response online, where he spoke about his blue-coloured tongue as a result of drinking a slushie, and his cool sunglasses.
Donning a hurl, Adam was asked whether he will bring hurling back to Tipperary, in which he candidly responded: “I don’t know if there is anything that will bring it back”.
Adam is a proud Tipperary man from the village of Araglen, where he attends school at Scoil Mhuire.
The 12-year-old said that he is now the talk of the school, and cannot go unnoticed around his village anymore.
The video set alight across Agriland’s social media platforms almost instantly, which led to Adam’s fantastic one-liners being the centre of attention at his school the following day.
The viral sensation admitted that “every time I look at the phone, I have 99+ notifications – the phone does be hopping off”.
Adam’s video on Agriland’s TikTok account has reached over two million views, reaching thousands upon thousands more across all other social media platforms.
Agriland’s Ploughing 2024 interviews have been received tremendously well online, with Eoin Lynch from Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, also garnering a huge amount of hits after gushing about his love for slurry.

Agriland got in contact with Adam’s parents, P.J and Ann, who were more than happy for Adam to talk through the making of the video and what the response has been like in his hometown.
“Everyone was saying it to me on the bus, and then when I went into school, all of the teachers were saying it to me,” the acclaimed sixth class student said.
Adam added that he can’t “go to the shop without someone spotting me and saying it to me, it’s mad. Anywhere I go, I’m getting recognised”.
Adam saw the opportunity to make a name for himself and grabbed it with both hands: “I saw yourselves interviewing, and a couple of the lads were telling me to go up and do it, and sure, I said I would.”
Adam offers a helping hand on his dairy farmer neighbour’s (Richie Carney’s) farm, where he helps with moving calves around the yard and milking.
When asked if he would like to pursue farming in the future, Adam replied: “I doubt it, it’s too much hardship.”
Instead, Adam would like to become an agricultural mechanic when he’s older, as he enjoys fixing machines and tractors.
“My favourite tractor is a Massey, and I would do anything anyone asks of me”, Adam said in relation to farm work.
When it comes to yard work, Adam said he helps with stacking bales and doing whatever needs to done, and that he “wouldn’t be in the way anyway”.
Adam added that he plans to create more content of his own over the coming weeks on his own TikTok account, seeing as he is already a familiar face among the general public.
He unfortunately lost the hurl that he had in the video, but he hopes that Cúl Sliotars will send him out a new one considering he gave them a shout out in the viral video.
Adam certainly has a bright future ahead of him, as his kind demeanour and witty humour brought the National Ploughing Championships to life – and that type of charisma cannot be taught.
