Irish-based livestock sourcing and supply company Viastar is seeking a farm manager to oversee the day-to-day running of its cattle farm in Co. Kildare, which caters for up to 800 head of cattle.
Viastar is involved in sourcing consignments of Irish cattle and supplying these to international markets.
According to the job posting on AgriRecruit, the successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring the farm operates efficiently.
The key duties for the farm manager include managing livestock, operating machinery, maintaining records, and planning daily activities.

The successful candidate will be managing cattle both at grass and in sheds and will oversee all matters of animal husbandry as well as overseeing the intake and dispatch of cattle from the farm at different times of the year.
Previous farm management or supervisory experience "is desirable" for the role and good organisation and communication skills "are essential, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail," according to the job advert.
"A full driving licence and relevant agricultural qualifications would be an advantage," the advert also states.
"The successful candidate must be flexible, responsible and committed to maintaining high standards of animal welfare, safety and farm management."
