Two more co-ops announce October milk price increases

Both Arrabawn Co-op and Dairygold have announced milk price increases for October supplies of milk.

The Arrabawn Board agreed yesterday to increase the base milk price by 2c/L and that the market support of 0.5c which was paid in previous months has being discontinued as the funds have being fully utilised, a spokesperson said.

This increase in milk price brings the base price for October milk to 28.18c/L.

Meanwhile, following a meeting today the Dairygold Board has set its milk price for October at 28c/L including a 0.5c/L quality bonus and VAT.

This increase in milk price from Dairygold is up 2c/L on the September price.

Aurivo co-op has also increased its milk price for October, by 1.25c/L bringing the price for October supplies to 27c/L, including VAT.

Meanwhile, Glanbia also announced that members suppliers will receive 28c/L, including VAT, for October milk supplies.

This price is inclusive of a 1c/L Glanbia Co-operative Society support payment to its members.

Glanbia Ingredients Ireland (GII) has increased its base price by 2c/L to 27c/L including VAT for manufacturing milk at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.
