A further two thefts have occurred in farmyards in Co. Monaghan in recent days and a number of items have been taken.

Earlier this week, Agriland reported on thefts in the Dunraymond area of the county that occurred on Monday, September 30.

However, gardaí have now confirmed that there were two burglaries which occurred overnight from Tuesday, October 1 to Wednesday, October 2 in the Doohamlet/Cremartin area.

The first was at a farmyard in Corleanamaddy, where a Red Honda 500 Quad with a sprayer was taken, along with a Stihl Con Saw and a number of Hilti and Dewalt power tools.

The second burglary occurred at a farmyard in Drumgristin, where a Husqvarna chainsaw and a number of Milwaukee power tools were taken.

Gardaí in Castleblayney are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 042 9747900.

Meanwhile, the two burglaries in Dunraymond, Co. Monaghan which occurred earlier this week on Monday, September 30 on separate farmyards are still being investigated by gardaí.

The first burglary was at a farmyard at Radrum, where an Ifor Williams cattle trailer, a red 520 Honda quad and a petrol Honda power washer were stolen.

The second burglary occurred at a farmyard in Tappa, were two Stihl leaf blowers, a Dewalt drill, a Lanco generator, a Honda power washer and a blue extension lead were stolen.

Gardaí across social media are advising the public to be “vigilant at all times” and report any suspicious activity immediately.
