Thousands of machinery enthusiasts are expected to descend on Punchestown, Co. Kildare from tomorrow for the three-day Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) 2024 Farm Machinery Show.

The 35th edition of the show moved to its new winter date in reaction to industry demands and will take place at Punchestown Event Centre.

According to the FTMTA, the Farm Machinery Show is a valuable service for the farm machinery industry that ensures that only exhibitors with a genuine agricultural focus are present.

The show is an opportunity for prospective buyers to see a comprehensive guide of all the latest machines and a depth of knowledge unavailable at other events.

Highlighting why the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show stands alone in an Irish context, FTMTA executive director, Michael Farrelly previously said: “As is our tradition, we’ll have the manufacturers on-site at Punchestown, talking directly with the visiting public who consistently seek out that first-hand level of detail from the industry’s experts.

“That’s a unique level of interaction that our show prides itself on providing.”

FTMTA president Karol Duigenan has said that the industry is constantly evolving and FTMTA has always recognised and reacted to emerging trends and developments.

“Taking the show back indoors was something we had always envisaged following the pandemic so we’re delighted to have taken this significant step,” he said.

From this year on, the show will be held on a biennial basis, moving it out of sync with the Agri Technica Show in Germany, according to the FTMTA.
