The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has confirmed that just over three quarters of applications made by farmers under tranche 3 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) have been approved.

The latest data, published by the department, shows that 2,873 (76%) out of the 3,799 applications made under this tranche have been given the green light by officials.

612 tranche 3 applications remain “in progress”, a further 228 have been rejected and 86 withdrawn by the applicant.

The following table provides the latest update on tranche 3 applications for the 10 schemes contained in TAMS 3:

The department also confirmed that 200 applications made under tranche 2 of TAMS 3 are still being processed.

8,070 approvals have been granted out of the 9,110 applications submitted as part of this tranche.

There are some 71 cases still outstanding under tranche 1 of the scheme. 7,254 out of 8,203 applications have been approved in the initial round of the scheme.

TAMS

The department previously confirmed to Agriland that 5,864 farmers have applied for tranche 4 of TAMS.

The Animal Welfare Nutrient Storage Scheme (AWNSS) was the most popular scheme in this latest tranche with 1,598 applications.

The Farm Safety Capital Investment Scheme (FSCIS) was the second most popular scheme in tranche 4 with 1,570 applications.

645 applications were made under the Solar Capital Investment Scheme (SCIS) and 637 for the Organic Capital Investment Scheme (OCIS).

The department has also confirmed that tranche 5 of TAMS 3 is currently open for applications and will close on December 6.
