You're every bit as important as a small tillage farmer, as the fella who's out there doing it on a large scale.
Young tillage farmers are scarce on the ground. In July, AgriLand visited one member of that small group. He was harvesting winter barley.
In November, AgriLand visited Kildalton agricultural college, where 35 first year students have opted to study tillage.
