To celebrate National Potato Day Keogh’s Farm will be bringing the farm to the city. A day of potato-related festivities will take place from 12pm to 4pm today on Dublin’s South King Street.

Events include potato performers, music, tastings and “Spud” Snaps, a vintage photo booth. All events are open to the public.

National Potato Day is in its 3rd year. Supported by Bord Bia the day hopes to raise awareness of the potato industry in Ireland and the health benefits of potatoes.

The potato market is valued at €195m in Ireland and an estimated 175,000 tonnes of potatoes are consumed in Ireland each year.
