Farmers applying for some of the schemes under TAMS II have until next Monday (November 30) to submit their applications online.

The Animal Welfare, Safety and Nutrient Storage Scheme along with the Organic Capital Investment Scheme are set to close early next week, according to the Department of Agriculture.

Applicants have until November 30, 2015, to submit online applications under the first tranche of the Animal Welfare, Safety and Nutrient Storage Scheme under TAMS II.

The closing date for the first tranche of the Organic Capital Investment Scheme under TAMS II also closes on November 30, 2015.

However, for those farmers considering applying for the Low Emission Slurry Spreading Scheme under TAMS II, the deadline has passed and online applications to this scheme are now closed.

Applications now open for the second tranches of TAMS II

The Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney, announced earlier in November that applications for some schemes under TAMS II had opened.

These schemes include the Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme, the Dairy Equipment Scheme and the Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme.

Closing Dates for Tranche II Schemes
  • The Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme will close on March 25, 2016.
  • The Dairy Equipment Scheme will close on March 25, 2016.
  • The Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme will close on March 25, 2016.

The Minister also said that all applications received in the first tranches for the Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme, the Dairy Equipment Scheme and the Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme are being examined in my Department and approvals will issue when the required checks are complete.

I am delighted with the high level of interest in the broad range of investments available across the schemes and hope that the extended closing dates will enable many more farmers to submit applications.
