A bull, Ampertaine Mozart, bred by James McKay, Maghera, Co. Derry topped the British Limousin Cattle Society’s sale in Carlisle on Saturday.

The January-2016 born son of Kype Orkney became the forth Limousin bull ever to breach the 100,000gns (£105,000) mark.

Procters Farm Ltd., located on the Lancashire-North Yorkshire border, secured the bull on the day.

Bulls reached an average price of just over £7,712 and sold to a clearance rate of 88% – meaning that just 18 bulls failed to find new homes.
