The deadline for entries for the National Organic Awards is this Friday, September 5.

The Awards will take place in Bord Bia on October 14, but entries must be with Bord Bia before close of business tomorrow.

Linda Cullen, Food and Beverages Division, Bord Bia, said the awards mark the achievements of Irish organic food and drink growers and manufacturers.

This year there are six new categories for companies to enter, including Best Product (Fresh), Best Product (Processed), Best New Product, Export Award, Innovation Award and Direct Selling Award. There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award to recognise and acknowledge outstanding contribution to the industry and development of the sector in Ireland.
