There will be mixed weather for the week ahead with temperatures reaching 20 degrees celsius in places, according to Met Eireann.
Today (Monday) there will be scattered showers in the morning mostly in northern counties however, better sunny spells will develop in the afternoon, Met Eireann says.
There will be highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees today (Monday) in moderate northwest to north breezes, it says.
Tonight (Monday) will be dry but it will be cold with clear periods and there will be lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees, it says.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be dry and bright with good sunny spells and light winds, Met Eireann says.
It says it will be mild Tuesday night and dry in many areas, but some misty conditions with scattered outbreaks of rain will affect some western coastal areas overnight.
According to Met Eireann, Wednesday will be a mild day but it will be rather cloudy with some light rain in many places during the morning, especially western and northern counties.
It will become drier and brighter during the afternoon but it could stay damp in northern parts into the evening, it says.
It will be dry in many places on Thursday with some sunny spells however, it will be cloudier in western areas with some scattered outbreaks of rain developing in the west and north later in the day, Met Eireann says.
Met Eireann says that temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid to high-teens.
Looking to the weekend, Met Eireann says that it will be rather cloudy on Friday with rain in many places at first however, brighter weather will develop in western counties by early afternoon.
This weather will then extend to all areas later in the day and temperatures will be in the mid to high-teens, it says.
Over the weekend temperatures will continue around normal and there will be some rain at times especially in western and northern parts, Met Eireann says.
However, there will be some dry bright weather over the weekend with sunny spells, it says.
