After several major processors set their milk prices for the month of March last week, Aurivo has become the latest processor to do so, revealing an increased price this evening (Monday, April 19).

The board of the processor has decided to increase its base milk price to 35.48c/L. This compares to a base price last month (for February milk) of 34.65c/L.

This month’s price is inclusive of standard bonuses and VAT at 3.3% protein and 3.6 butterfat.

At EU standard constituents, this converts to 38.72c/L at 3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat.

The price this month includes a 1.4c/L early calving bonus.

Commenting on the state of play in dairy markets at present, Aurivo said: “Markets are generally stable, with demand and supply in equilibrium as we enter peak milk production.”
