Carnew Mart will host a sizeable auction of modern, second-hand agricultural machinery on Friday (February 16).

The auction is being held on behalf of David Hatton, who is retiring from his silage contracting activities.

With that in mind, it is not surprising that much of the equipment up for sale is silage-related, but there are other lots too.

The sale looks likely to attract a sizeable crowd; it will be held at David’s premises – at Loggan, Gorey, Co. Wexford.

The list of machines up for grabs includes not one but two JCB loading shovels and a pair of tandem-axle Broughan silage trailers. There are also three tractors listed – all wearing green liveries of one hue or another. One is a Deutz-Fahr; another is a Claas; there’s a Fendt too.

There’s even a self-propelled Claas Jaguar forager in the mix.

A list of the available lots, along with pictures of the machines, can be accessed on Carnew Mart’s website.
