The Macra na Feirme club and national fundraiser ‘Racing for Macra’ night at the dogs is taking place on Saturday 30 November. With four venues across Ireland – there is a location for everyone – Mullingar; Galway; Curraheen, Cork; and Kilcohan, Waterford.

Every club in the country is currently busy selling tickets to their friends, family and local supporters. The fundraiser is designed to support the great work of clubs in their communities as well as support the work of the national organisation.

Kieran O’Dowd, Macra national president, said: “The ‘Racing for Macra’ event is set to be a fantastic night out for past and present members and supporters. Proceeds from the event will support the work of clubs in their local communities as well as services delivered at national level to rural young people. I’d ask you all to support us on the night and buy a ticket from your local club.”

‘Racing for Macra’ will be a chance for past and present members and supporters to get together. Tickets cost €10 and cover entry, race card, entertainment and entry to the national draw for a chance to win €1,000 or a hotel break in the FBD Castleknock Hotel, Dublin.

The young farmers organisation is urging people to support their local Macra by buying tickets directly from their local club.
